Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer, you will oversee supervisors, electricians, laborers, apprentices, and subcontractors while managing projects valued between £500 and £250,000, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing diverse contracts from initial inquiry to completion, including labor resources, materials, and subcontractors.
  • Engaging with clients to provide guidance and support on design and installation queries.
  • Estimating, planning, and monitoring project progress.
  • Participating in client meetings and site visits as necessary.
  • Maintaining financial oversight of projects to achieve key performance indicators.
  • Adopting a proactive approach to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, in collaboration with SHEQ management.
  • Delivering contracts profitably while ensuring client satisfaction in accordance with internal processes.
  • Maintaining existing client relationships and seeking to develop new business opportunities.
  • Conducting regular one-on-one meetings to motivate and encourage your team, fostering a positive culture of learning and engagement.

Qualifications

  • Health and safety certification such as SMSTS is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Some experience in estimating with material take-off is preferred but not essential.

While not required, familiarity with Sage accounting software would be beneficial, though training can be provided.

  • Permanent contract with full-time hours, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
