Job Title: Design ManagerWe are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team in Reading, UK. As a key member of our UK Construction business, you will be responsible for leading the design process for our projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:- Appraise and ensure compliance with BREEAM obligations.
- Generate contractors' proposals for submission.
- Set design deliverables for each consultant and CDP contractor, scheduling drawings, specifications, and other design information required for construction.
- Monitor and report on design progress, statutory approvals, outstanding information required, subcontractor design, environmental/CDM issues.
- Review design information at tender and construction, reporting on Value Engineering, Contract Coordination, and Statutory compliance.
- Strong industry experience from either an architectural or project management background, with experience of a similar role on a project in excess of £5m.
- Experience of both design and build and traditional contracting.
- Ability to communicate positively and effectively.
- Technical and design skills.
- Understanding of the design and construct process.
