About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Fujifilm Corporation. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the gene therapy space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to drive growth and revenue in the gene therapy market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including technical and business leaders, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the gene therapy market, including trends, competitors, and customer needs.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements.
  • Develop and manage proposals, presentations, and other sales materials to effectively communicate the value of our products and services to customers.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of potential business opportunities, including tracking and analyzing customer interactions, sales activity, and pipeline performance.
  • Provide regular updates and insights to senior leadership on business development progress, pipeline performance, and market trends.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in a relevant field, such as business, engineering, or life sciences.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field, with a strong background in the biotechnology industry.
  • Proven track record of success in business development, with a strong ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
