Position: Mechanical Technician

Salary: £48,200 per annum

Location: Wrexham

Working Hours: Days Only (Monday - Friday)

Company Overview:
Gap Technical Ltd is proud to represent a leading global manufacturing organization in their search for a skilled Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Engineer to join their team near Wrexham.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform mechanical tasks on-site as instructed.
2. Complete all scheduled maintenance activities, changeovers, and additional assignments as directed by the engineering manager.
3. Identify and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process breakdown issues.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while coordinating with other departments as necessary.
5. Maintain availability of equipment, materials, and tools required for effective work execution.
6. Document resources and time utilized, job scope changes, rework, or deferred maintenance while keeping all tasks and activities updated.
7. Troubleshoot equipment issues and conduct basic root cause analysis to develop effective solutions.
8. Provide technical support for all machine breakdowns and changeovers.

Candidate Profile:
1. Completed apprenticeship to ONC / HNC / C&G Level 3.
2. Proficient in reading hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
3. Capable of interpreting and creating mechanical drawings.
4. Experienced in performing planned preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment.
5. Familiar with TPM, 6S, continuous improvement, and lean methodologies.
6. Strong electrical and mechanical skills are essential.
7. Proven experience in complex problem-solving and fault finding.
8. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently.
