Financial Accountant Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to oversee the day-to-day operations of our company's finances and accounting systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, budget and forecasts preparation, and regulatory reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Operations Management: Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Budget and Forecasts Preparation: Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and publish timely weekly reports, as well as monthly and quarterly financial statements.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
  • Close Processes: Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Quality Control: Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
  • Compliance: Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Qualifications and Skill Sets:
  • Experience: Proven working experience as a Financial Accountant, with 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • CPA Designation: CPA designation, or equivalent.
  • Accounting Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Financial Statement Experience: Experience with creating financial statements.
  • General Ledger Functions: Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process.
  • Accounting Software: Excellent accounting software user, with experience with Sage Intacct.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills.
  • Time Management: Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Team Player: Passionate, great attitude, and team player.
