Position Overview

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Engagement Type: Inside IR35

The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of deliverables meets the established standards throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial concept through to in-service support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of engineering and design methodologies pertinent to the specific discipline.
  • Exhibit proficient CAD capabilities alongside strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Delegate tasks effectively to a designated team of Designers, review their drawing outputs, and guarantee inter-discipline coordination in alignment with both company and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain oversight of time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Act as the primary liaison with professional engineering colleagues and various stakeholders concerning discipline-related matters throughout the design lifecycle.
  • Contribute to design evaluations and ensure the integration and functionality of design elements.
  • Assist in resolving Production & Technical Queries and develop disciplined solutions for the team regarding manufacturing and installation challenges.
  • Foster innovative design solutions and undertake Design Lead responsibilities as assigned for multi-discipline, low-risk projects.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of HNC/HND in a relevant discipline or an equivalent academic qualification.
  • Solid knowledge of CAD tools.
  • Understanding of General Engineering Drawing Practices.
  • Extensive experience across a variety of commercial or defense projects.
