In this role, you will report directly to the Logistics Manager and will be tasked with overseeing inventory operations to ensure optimal efficiency and precision in our stock management processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the company's inventory management strategy aimed at controlling expenses within budgetary constraints, achieving cost savings, optimising inventory levels, and enhancing working capital.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of materials and stocked products, including stock profiles and locations across various sites.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and accuracy assessments to ensure reliable stock levels.
  • Reduce excess stock and eliminate obsolete materials to improve working capital availability.
  • Generate purchase orders for inventory and components across all sites.
  • Ensure that the goods receiving and stock control areas are well-organised to effectively support production and business objectives.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Guarantee that materials are prepared and accessible for picking as needed.
  • Proactively follow up on any delayed materials that may hinder operations until they are received.
  • Implement process improvements and systems to decrease inventory levels, minimise costs, and maximise working capital.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all primary inventory control processes and functions.
  • Oversee and manage scheduled stock takes and coordinate cyclic stock checks with third-party logistics providers.
  • Ensure that work orders are accurate and fully completed, with all stock correctly allocated to the respective jobs.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
  • Prepare weekly reports to monitor critical areas of the stock system, addressing and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Manage control measures to identify, address, and rectify mistakes, inaccuracies, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate order projects to ensure precise picking.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
