Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Care Officer to join our Supported Living Team at Perth & Kinross Council. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing supportive care to vulnerable service users with varying learning disabilities and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support service users with personal care tasks to enable them to reach their optimum level of independence.
- Monitor health and wellbeing, and support service users to attend appointments.
- Enable service users to access community facilities and activities.
- Protect individuals from risk or abuse, and report any concerns through appropriate processes.
- Ensure Health and Safety for yourself and service users in line with PKC policy and procedures.
- Comply with the National Care Standards and SSSC Codes of Practice.
Requirements:
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is required.
- A valid UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
