Stevenage, Hertfordshire, United Kingdom Northreach Full time
Job Overview

At Northreach, we are dedicated to pioneering innovative therapies that significantly enhance patient outcomes. Our mission is to establish a leading global biopharmaceutical entity focused on delivering transformative treatments for autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, as well as facilitating organ transplantation through advanced engineered Tregs.

The Logistics and Supply Chain Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the logistical and supply chain functions within our manufacturing facilities. This position ensures that all supply chain, logistics, and warehousing activities align with the expectations of stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and partners.

With a strong background in managing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) supply chains and warehousing, the manager will be tasked with implementing effective processes and IT systems to ensure compliance and operational efficiency. Proficiency in SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is crucial for maintaining GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all logistics and supply chain service providers, ensuring they meet performance metrics and service level agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, partners, and service providers to oversee the selection and performance evaluation of suppliers and vendors, including support during supply chain audits.
  • Ensure the implementation of processes and systems that effectively utilize third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to facilitate the supply of materials and kits for partners, adhering to standards outlined in collaboration agreements and quality technical agreements.
  • Maintain regular communication with partners, suppliers, and logistics providers to enhance operational processes.
  • Develop and manage supply chain and warehouse systems at the manufacturing site to guarantee the timely supply, storage, picking, and shipping of all consumables, raw materials, excipients, and product contact materials, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Implement and oversee efficient scheduling and planning tools to support increased material movements and partner operations, ensuring the logistics group can accommodate high throughput manufacturing.
  • Establish and enforce procedures for chain of custody.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external supply chain operations to adopt best practices and drive operational improvements.
  • Engage in and lead national supply chain initiatives to promote advancements in the UK Cell & Gene Therapy sector.

Required Experience

  • Management experience in a GMP biopharmaceutical warehouse or inventory management setting.
  • Experience in overseeing supply chain and logistics operations.
  • Proficiency in utilizing multiple supply chain and logistics systems that support GMP warehouse and supply chain functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in drafting and reviewing GMP documentation, including Master Batch Records (MBRs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), change controls, non-conformance investigations, and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Ability to critically evaluate and enhance work practices and procedures.
  • Experience in leading, managing, and motivating teams, as well as training and serving as a role model for staff in a GMP warehouse environment.
  • Experience interacting with regulatory authorities and collaborating with clients and partners.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal development in alignment with the requirements of the position and relevant professional or regulatory standards.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits program that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional advancement within a rapidly evolving industry.
