About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fuel Point Assistant to join our Light Maintenance team at Arriva TrainCare. As a Fuel Point Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fuel point and CET plant, delivering high-performance results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the fuel point and CET plant to deliver exceptional performance
  • Carry out overnight servicing on a variety of customer trains, including fuel replenishment, coolant replenishment, oil replenishment, sanding system replenishment, and screenwash replenishment
  • Perform duties to documented Vehicle Maintenance Instructions
  • Cover for the Operations Controller as required
Requirements
  • Solid understanding of relevant health and safety and environmental standards
  • Ability to problem-solve and work as part of a team
  • Previous experience in and understanding of rail vehicle maintenance activities
  • NVQ Level 2 in Engineering is desirable
