About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Professional to join our team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Prison Healthcare Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a unique and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Health Assessments: Perform comprehensive health assessments, including mental health evaluations and substance misuse interventions.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with healthcare professionals, social workers, and other stakeholders to deliver compassionate and effective care.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse: Hold current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and have a background in general adult services, mental health, substance misuse, or learning disability.
  • Essential Skills: Possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills, with a strong understanding of the criminal justice system.
