Job Title: Assistant Environmental Consultant

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Environmental Consultant to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our Sustainable Land & Resource Management Practice, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality geo-environmental consultancy services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Phase 1 Desk Studies and verification reports to identify potential environmental risks.
  • Supervise remediation and earthworks projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage digital data using tools such as PowerBI and GIS to inform decision-making.
  • Design and organize site works, including health and safety documentation.
  • Develop conceptual site models and risk assessments to inform project delivery.
  • Manage projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Travel throughout the North East region to conduct site visits and meetings.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering or science subject.
  • Understanding of land contamination and brownfield land issues.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Experience in contamination and brownfield land site-based work.
