Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 Tramper Driver to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our transport team, you will be responsible for collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods throughout the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and deliver customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, adhering to strict load security protocols.
  • Deliver loads throughout the UK, including full and groupage loads, ensuring timely and efficient transportation.
  • Use a handheld PDA to complete paperwork and manage customer expectations.
  • Deal with customers face-to-face and over the phone, providing excellent customer service.
  • Keep in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and manage customer expectations.
Requirements:
  • Must hold a valid UK HGV Class 1 CE License.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service and working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite, and a team player with good geographical knowledge.
  • Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated, with a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.
