Job Role: Business Analyst in Surveillance
Location: City of London

Minimum Requirements:
Track record as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services/broking industry (essential)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with business users, project managers, and development teams to gain a deep understanding of the surveillance infrastructure and business requirements.
  2. Facilitate workshops with third-party vendors and business users to capture and document surveillance requirements.
  3. Conduct detailed data analysis and provide mapping solutions to onboard new products onto the strategic real-time surveillance platform.
  4. Work with vendor and internal teams to define a solution for business requirements/issues where identified, engaging with the Quality Assurance (QA) testing teams where appropriate.
  5. Understand the impacts and dependencies that proposed solutions might influence and respond accordingly.
  6. Create and maintain design specification documents for trade surveillance alert models.
  7. Provide QA testing teams with detailed acceptance criteria for all business requirements.
  8. Liaise with surveillance analysts to lead the troubleshooting and triaging of production issues to drive root cause identification and resolution.
  9. Run detailed tuning analysis and recommend appropriate alert model parameters for business users to validate across different asset classes and instruments.
  10. Support UAT testing to validate the business readiness of each surveillance software release.
  11. Document, track, and escalate risks and issues to project lead as appropriate.
  12. Participate in daily scrums, backlog refinement sessions, project status meetings, and sprint retrospectives.

Additional Requirements:
Knowledge of software development processes and procedures (essential)
Technical background and an understanding of financial products (essential)
Familiar with agile methodology and testing frameworks (desirable)
