**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Vertical Recruitment. As a key member of our Cost Management team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact nuclear projects and contributing to our company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review tender and contract documents to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies to identify potential risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish their requirements and develop tailored solutions.
  • Perform risk management, value management, and cost control to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Advise clients on procurement strategy and provide guidance on contractual claims.
  • Analyze costings of tender returns and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide expert advice on forms of contract suitable for tendered works.
  • Develop and maintain detailed progress reports to track project outcomes.
  • Value completed work and advise clients on payments to be made.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a consultancy, client, or contractor environment.
  • Currently working towards MRICS or relevant professional body certification.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Extensive experience with NEC and contract administration.
  • Flexible in relation to travel and willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
