Maths Teacher Job Description

Step Teachers is seeking a dedicated and passionate Maths Teacher to join a vibrant Secondary School in Norwich for a long-term position. This is an exciting opportunity for a Maths Teacher who is eager to make a positive impact in a forward-thinking school community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons to students across various year groups, promoting academic achievement and student participation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support student growth and confidence in Maths.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and motivation in Maths.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best practices across the Maths department, driving continuous improvement.
Requirements:
  • Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification, demonstrating a strong foundation in Mathematics education.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related field, showcasing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and principles.
  • Proven experience as a Maths Teacher at the secondary school level, with a track record of delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK Mathematics curriculum and effective teaching methodologies, ensuring a student-centered approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities, promoting a love of learning.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and enhancing teaching practices, staying up-to-date with best practices and innovations in Maths education.
