Nursery/Reception SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

Job Title: Nursery/Reception SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Location: Borough of Tower Hamlets

Job Description:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality education to children in Nursery and Reception (3-4-year-olds)
  • Carry out Phonics, Spelling, Reading, and Writing sessions to support children's literacy development
  • Assist in supporting children with mild Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in classroom activities

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification or higher in a relevant field
  • Good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Experience working in an EYFS setting, preferably as an EYFS Specialist
  • Bubbly and energetic personality with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a large team
