Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Engineer to join our team at a globally leading Chemical company based in the Blackpool area. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary of between £58,000 - £70,000 per annum.

The successful candidate will be part of one of the world's largest chemical manufacturers, who strive to bring transformational and sustainable solutions to various industries, including Automotive, Aviation, Medical, and Electronics.

As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expertise to production plants, developing and implementing Capital and continuous improvement projects. You will lead the design for capital projects, including optioneering, equipment specification, and detailed design.

You will be responsible for creating, checking, and approving relevant deliverables and vendor documents, such as PFDs, mass energy balances, P&IDs, trip and interlock schedules, and control philosophies.

The role involves leading input hazard studies, relief and blowdown studies, area classification reviews, and LOPA reviews. You will also be in charge of leading the commissioning of new equipment installed as part of projects, including supervising commissioning technicians and contractors.

Key responsibilities include delivering plant optimization projects, providing technical expertise to the operations team for troubleshooting and continuous improvement of site operations, and optimizing existing assets with respect to throughput, yield, batch to batch repeatability, consistency, and energy efficiency.

Support design, installation, and commissioning to ensure capital projects meet their SHE, quality, schedule, and cost targets.
