Field Service Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing onsite customer support to our range of machinery within the region, with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment
  • Service a wide variety of machines both on and off site
  • Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Complete job cards to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe
  • Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner
  • Request parts efficiently and effectively
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Supervise Apprentices, when required, to ensure that a high quality of work and safe working procedures is maintained
  • Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment
  • Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards
  • Present a professional image at all times
  • Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy
  • Ensure tools are safe and legal to use
Requirements:
  • 3+ years in a similar role and industry
  • Investigate & diagnose technical problems, which involve climbing on top & underneath the heavy plant machinery
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines
Remuneration:

We offer a competitive salary of £15- £18 an hour depending on experience, 40 hours a week, with overtime available at 1.5x. Our benefits package includes 22 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays, Company van, mobile, uniform and laptop, Death in Service: 3 x annual salary, Health Plan, Cycle to work Scheme, sick pay, free legal advice and employee incentives. Pension 4% EE 5% ER
