The Opportunity:

An exciting chance has arisen for a highly skilled Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join the Nigel Wright Group, a reputable and dynamic industrial SME business based in the North Yorkshire region. As part of a small team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the Finance function, providing a diverse range of tasks and challenges.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day accounting operations;
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts;
  • Treasury management, including Forex transactions;
  • Leading the audit;
  • Maintaining internal controls;
  • Budgeting and forecasting;
  • Supporting the business with financial strategy and decision-making processes;
  • Ad-hoc duties, such as supporting the business across various functions like procurement and sales.

You will be/have:
  • A qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent);
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager/Controller;
  • Comfortable taking a hands-on approach;
  • A strong team player;
  • Capable of running the finance function autonomously and managing one direct report;
  • Sage 50 experience is an advantage, but not essential.

Benefits:
  • Salary of up to £55,000;
