About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability and Carbon Consultant to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading on carbon, sustainability, and net-zero initiatives for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement innovative carbon and sustainability strategies, designs, and solutions.
  • Project manage and coordinate sustainability inputs on major infrastructure projects.
  • Represent the company on external networks and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead and support bid proposals, ensuring a strong sustainability focus.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in an environmental or engineering-related discipline.
  • Chartered status with a recognized professional body.
  • Prior experience and up-to-date knowledge in carbon accounting, decarbonization, sustainability assessments, and whole life carbon.
  • Strong report writing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of UK sustainability and carbon guidance and standards.
