Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Coalesce Management Consulting. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all site testing, commissioning, and installation are completed to the highest standards of health and safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough testing and commissioning of substation equipment to ensure compliance with agreed work schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare and issue site documentation, including RAMS, NCRs, and TQs, to ensure accurate and timely communication with stakeholders.
  • Identify and communicate any issues to site and project engineers, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption to operations.
  • Test, commission, and service installed primary and secondary equipment during construction and in-service substation operations.
  • Maintain accurate test records, reports, and quality documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Work on offshore wind farms, requiring adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic environment.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license and possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with testing and commissioning HV Power systems equipment, SCADA systems, site experience, working at height, and working in a construction environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of IEC61850 protocol, Modbus, IEC101, IEC 104, and IEC103.
  • Fault finding and experience in testing and commissioning of substation equipment (Generation, transmission, and distribution).
  • HV substation environment experience.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in commissioning and testing of substation equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work on offshore wind farms and adapt to changing project requirements.
