About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team in North Hampshire, supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide personalized support to students, helping them manage their emotions and develop coping strategies
  • Collaborate with educators to create and implement tailored educational plans for students with mental health needs
  • Track student progress, providing feedback and making adjustments to support as required
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with all safeguarding and privacy regulations
  • Support teachers in managing classroom behavior and addressing individual student needs
Requirements:
  • GCSEs or Level 2 Equivalent in Mathematics
  • Previous experience in an educational or mental health setting, working with children, adolescents, or adults
  • Knowledge of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
  • Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively
  • Commitment to professional development and staying updated on best practices in SEMH support
  • Understanding of safeguarding procedures and readiness to respond to concerns
