We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at AGM Construction Recruitment. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our project development and execution, responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with construction and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and other documents.
  • Collaborate with the project management and engineering teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Analyze and quantify project materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Utilize industry-specific software and tools to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
  • Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposals within designated timelines.
  • Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and cost data to maintain accurate estimating practices.
  • Participate in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs while maintaining quality.
  • Work closely with the project team to provide ongoing cost support and analysis.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction and civil engineering sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
