Senior Radiographer

About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Radiographer to join our team as Deputy Superintendent for the General X-ray department at Basildon. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the delivery of a high-quality plain film imaging service.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to ensure smooth patient flow, including senior and junior medical staff, clinical teams, ward personnel, porters, and patient representatives.
• Participate in the review of imaging requests in accordance with established clinical pathways and engage in discussions with medical teams/referring clinicians regarding relevant protocols.
• Take a leading role in the department's Quality Assurance (QA) program and Health and Safety checks, with primary responsibility for the hospital's satellite clinical sites.
• Act as Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) for the hospital's satellite clinical sites.
• Assist with attending Lead meetings and Manager of the Day duties.
• Provide training to staff in each clinical area, ensuring that best practices are integrated into their daily work.
