About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our Digital Infrastructure team, you will be responsible for implementing, supporting, and maintaining our server and storage infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide lead technical expertise in Linux server support and assist the team with Windows Server support.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of disaster recovery plans for server and storage infrastructure.
  • Provide expertise in server and storage backup, including database backup, and lead on backup of all infrastructure systems.
  • Ensure effective automated monitoring of all server and storage infrastructure components.
  • Document all servers and storage systems, including physical and logical implementation, admin and service accounts, security controls, applications installed, and dependencies.

Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent qualifications or experience.
  • Extensive experience working in an infrastructure server and storage role within a virtualised environment.
  • Extensive experience of supporting complex server and storage infrastructures on Windows and Linux Platforms, including server clustering.
