Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Prototype Project Support Specialist to join our team at Gobel & Partner Limited. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless support coordination for an innovative EV Battery initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate coordination of the Prototype Build functions, particularly in the Electronic Drive Units sector.
- Identify and rectify inefficiencies, enhancing parts supply, production, assembly processes, and overall quality.
- Address quality concerns and implement corrective action plans for issues related to missing, damaged, or incorrect components.
- Establish and manage parts supply challenges effectively.
- Engage with suppliers across all production build and parts/system supply areas.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and track their progress.
- Generate comprehensive reports and outputs for production areas and management review.
Work Schedule
The successful candidate will work on a rotating weekly shift pattern:
- AM Shift: 06:00 - 14:00, Monday to Thursday / 06:00 - 11:00, Friday
- PM Shift: 14:00 - 22:00, Monday to Thursday / 11:00 - 16:00, Friday
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Robust project coordination skills, ideally acquired in Automotive, Manufacturing, Quality, or Engineering settings.
- Experience in prototype component assembly and build.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word and advanced Excel.
- Exceptional communication and customer management skills.
- Ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- A flexible approach to work and a strong commitment to personal development.
- Organizational skills, resilience, and innovative thinking.
- Demonstrable experience in a dynamic production and manufacturing environment.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive pay rate of up to £30.00 per hour, based on experience.
- Outside IR35 tax status.
- Immediate start availability.
