Job Overview

The JAQ Group is a leading e-commerce company in the UK, known for its rapid growth and expansion. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Support Specialist to join our finance team based in Northern Ireland.

About the Role

As a Financial Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Bookkeeping and Reconciliations: Maintaining up-to-date financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accurate coding and posting of transactions.
  • Purchase Ledger: Accurately processing purchase invoices, managing supplier accounts, and performing AP account reconciliations.
  • Sales Ledger: Processing sales invoices, managing customer accounts, and performing AR account reconciliations.
  • Banking: Accurately coding and posting banking transactions, reconciling banks to accounting systems, and understanding underlying transactions.
  • Payroll: Assisting in the preparation and posting of payroll information to financial and banking systems.
  • Financial Process Improvement: Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency.
  • Financial Reporting: Assisting in the preparation of financial information, including cash flow reporting, financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Financial Analysis: Providing financial performance analysis and recommendations to support business decision-making.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced candidate with:

  • Relevant experience in a similar role (minimum 5+ years).
  • Advanced IT skills and experience working with high-volume data sets.
  • Experience using e-commerce, finance, and payroll software.
  • Experience working in a retail, marketplace, or DTC/e-commerce business (desirable but not essential).
  • Experience working in a fast-growing environment (desirable but not essential).
  • Accounting qualification (desirable but not essential).
