Job Summary:
Scrubditch Care Farm is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Student Support Worker to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing environment for our participants to grow, learn, and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with students to provide general care for farm animals, including horse care, and engage them in horticultural tasks such as watering, weeding, and harvesting produce.
- Work with students on various activities including woodwork and cooking, and assist the Care Farm Manager and Supervisors in planning and implementing learning activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and work alongside Care Farm Volunteers to support students in their daily activities.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Health and Safety and Safeguarding regulations, and take responsibility for housekeeping in the main building.
- Participate in fundraising efforts and assist with organizing events.
Requirements:
- Experience in animal care, horticulture, or related fields is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to Health and Safety and Safeguarding standards.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for helping others.
