Ardingly College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Steward/Porter. This is a key position within the college, requiring a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the smooth operation of college facilities, including furniture and equipment storage, delivery, and placement;
  • Providing efficient and reliable mail and laundry delivery services;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of minibuses and ensuring they are fit for purpose;
  • Ensuring the college grounds are well-maintained and free of clutter.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing support to various departments in relation to the movement of goods and materials around the college, as well as driving a minibus to transport students and staff.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a educational or hospitality setting;
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as manual handling experience;
  • Full, clean driving license;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ardingly College offers a competitive salary of £26,520 per annum, as well as a range of benefits, including complimentary meals, access to a free onsite gym, and other leisure facilities.
