This role is pivotal as we expand our urgent and emergency care services, ensuring that we meet the growing needs of our community. Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality ultrasound services within the Obstetric and Imaging departments, adhering to established competencies. Produce detailed, independently written ultrasound reports while effectively communicating complex information to both clinicians and patients. Participate in the training and mentorship of junior staff and trainees, fostering a collaborative learning environment. Maintain professional and technical standards relevant to ultrasound services, ensuring compliance with safety and quality protocols. Engage in the planning and implementation of new services aimed at enhancing patient care and streamlining patient pathways. Provide regular feedback to Ultrasound leadership regarding key performance indicators and service delivery. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective communication and service integration. Actively contribute to the recruitment and selection processes for new staff members.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Formal Post Graduate Ultrasound Qualification/DMU. At least 12 months of unsupervised experience in ultrasound. Evidence of ongoing professional development and technical knowledge.

Skills and Attributes

Strong analytical and judgmental skills for interpreting ultrasound examinations. Excellent communication abilities to engage with patients and healthcare professionals. High level of enthusiasm and a proactive approach to service improvement.
