About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Acting Team Leader to join our team at Northern Healthcare. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting our service users with learning disabilities or mental health illnesses.

As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for working closely with our Support Workers to ensure that our service users receive the necessary support to achieve their goals and live a full and independent life.

You will be expected to work collaboratively with our team to prioritize outcome-focused support to our customers, while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude towards our service users and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support service users with day-to-day activities, enabling them to live a full and independent life.
  • Ensure duties are allocated to team members effectively and safely while on duty.
  • Supervise Support Workers in the delivery and support to our service users.
  • Work positively and collaboratively with other colleagues within the team.
  • Support your own staff team to maintain effective professional relationships with service users, their families, colleagues, and other key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Previous experience of working with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities or a mental health illness.
  • Good understanding of mental health rehabilitation or a level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends.
