Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at FryerMiles Recruitment. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Transactions: Process orders, invoices, and payments in accordance with our clients' procedures and policies.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order goods and services, ensuring best value and budget allocation availability, including procurement card purchases.
  • Travel Arrangements: Obtain quotes for coach and admission services to assist with trip planning.
  • Communication: Liaise with suppliers, staff, and clients to resolve queries and provide excellent customer service.
  • Data Management: Assist in maintaining and updating student information on our databases, adhering to GDPR procedures and school policies.
  • Event Planning: Support the organization of school trips, including coach bookings and data provision using our systems.
  • Record Keeping: Input and maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and school policies.
  • Post and Correspondence: Handle post, correspondence, and emails in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Customer Service: Answer and respond to incoming and internal calls, providing excellent customer service.
  • Financial Preparations: Prepare money for banking and prepare invoices for lettings, maintaining associated records.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist with the preparation of month-end and year-end procedures for our clients.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any duties within the remit of the post as directed by our management team.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar finance position, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient user of Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and individually.
