Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Solicitor (ideally 2+ years' PQE) to join our nationally recognised Court of Protection team. As a key member of our Health and Welfare team, you will be responsible for managing a mixed caseload across a variety of matters, including funding streams for packages of care, continuing health care, and local authority funding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of Court of Protection matters, including health and welfare cases
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, including vulnerable individuals and their families
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure effective case management and compliance
  • Supervise the casework of more junior staff in the team
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in Court of Protection law and practice

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' PQE in Court of Protection law
  • Experience of managing a caseload of health and welfare cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a compliant and efficient manner
  • Knowledge of funding streams for packages of care, continuing health care, and local authority funding
