Senior Independent Domestic Violence Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Independent Domestic Violence Advisor to join our team at Vetro Recruitment. As a Senior IDVA Advisor, you will play a critical role in providing expert advice and guidance to individuals affected by domestic violence and abuse.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist advice and guidance to individuals affected by domestic violence and abuse, including those with complex and diverse needs.
- Conduct file audits to ensure best practices and high-quality work is undertaken, and complete case reviews with staff to provide coaching and feedback.
- Hold complex and diverse caseloads, prioritizing cases and providing proactive, short to medium-term crisis intervention services through individual safety, support, and recovery planning.
- Advocate for service users with agencies who can help to address domestic abuse, and work directly with key agency partners to address the safety of high-risk victims.
- Manage a caseload ensuring each client receives a trauma-informed, needs-led, risk-assessed service tailored to their individual needs.
- Comply with GDPR/data protection legislation, confidentiality, and information sharing policy and procedures, and all legislation connected to your work.
- Hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, or a relevant degree, or demonstrable equivalent experience or a vocational qualification.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle is essential.
- Have an understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including the impact on victims and their children.
- Understand child protection issues and how to effectively safeguard.
- Experience in engaging with external agencies.
- Strong crisis management skills.

- Ability to provide practical and emotional support.
