About the Role:
Cunninghame Housing Association is a leading social landlord in Ayrshire, and our subsidiary company, Cunninghame Furniture Recycling Company (CFRC), is dedicated to finding new homes for unwanted furniture and generating job and training opportunities for local residents.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Associate to join our team at our furniture showroom in Irvine. As a Senior Sales Associate, you will be responsible for the sale of furniture and household goods to customers, promoting the business to ensure optimal footfall and sales income.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet and exceed daily sales targets
- Provide exceptional customer service and promote the business to customers
- Effectively manage and maintain the presentation of the showroom
- Source new suppliers and negotiate prices for furniture and household goods
- Utilize Windows-based software to manage sales and inventory
Requirements:
- Experience working in a retail, furniture, or sales environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
- Comfortable using Windows-based software and social media platforms
What We Offer:
- Competitive hourly rate of £12.40
- 35 hours per week, with occasional Saturday working on a rota basis
- Initial 1-year contract with potential for permanent employment
- Excellent working conditions, including 30 days annual leave and access to a company pension scheme
