Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

As a result of continued success and strategic growth, we are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will thrive in a technology-focused design environment, responsible for creating innovative solutions for various clients and applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop key solution design criteria and metrics, and associated material flow diagrams.
  • Identify technical and safety risks, and propose solutions to mitigate them.
  • Present clear and articulate concepts to clients and colleagues, influencing the decision-making process.
  • Develop an understanding of WCS functionality and collaborate with the in-house software design team.
  • Support the design process by developing test specifications and other key contract documents.

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in bespoke machine design, material handling, and robotics. A mechanical engineering qualification at degree level is advantageous, but not essential. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a senior design environment, with advanced skills in MS Office and SolidWorks, and a high level of proficiency in logistics and supply chain solutions.
