Commercial Project Engineer – Oil and Gas - COMAH

Location: Eastham, Wirral

Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 plus bonus and benefits

Outsource UK is collaborating with a leading global firm seeking a Commercial Project Engineer. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in project planning and cost analysis for long-term strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and growth. This position involves supporting the Project Manager in the execution of Commercial CAPEX projects that arise from the Commercial Enquiries Process, while also overseeing and reporting on multiple projects and/or engineering tasks across various sites.

This is a permanent position based in the Eastham office, with a hybrid work model allowing for three days in the office and two days remote work each week. The role will also require travel to client locations and other company facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate cross-functional responses to customer inquiries, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a focus on outcomes.
  • Develop timely, cost-effective, and compliant project proposals in response to commercial inquiries, ensuring identification of hazards and assessment of safety and environmental risks at the proposal stage.
  • Guarantee that all projects are executed on schedule and within budget, adhering to company standards and UK regulations.

Required Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering.
  • Significant experience in the oil and gas sector or a similarly regulated environment, preferably under COMAH regulations.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in Project Management or Project Engineering.
  • A valid Driving Licence and strong capabilities in project supervision and report writing are essential.

This position is ideal for individuals who are practical and possess a genuine enthusiasm for Engineering and delivering projects efficiently and within budget.
