About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Barchester Healthcare, a leading provider of healthcare services in the UK. As a Bank Chef, you will have the opportunity to work with fresh seasonal food, delivering high-quality dishes to our residents while enjoying a better work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well-balanced menus for our residents.
  • Work closely with residents to tailor menus to their preferences and dietary needs.
  • Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring seamless operations and high standards.
  • Work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control to maintain efficiency and quality.
  • Assist in leading and motivating the team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Hold a City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification in culinary arts.
  • Have experience in helping lead and inspire a team, with a good understanding of nutrition and HACCP principles.
  • Be able to create a warm and welcoming environment within our home, with a personable and warm approach.
