Job Summary

Rapier Employment is seeking a skilled HGV Class 1 driver to support our client in Swindon on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 12 months of experience driving HGV Class 1 vehicles and a clean driving record with no more than 9 points on their license.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Safely transport goods between various locations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Delivery Routes: Deliver goods from Swindon to the South coast of England and up to the Midlands.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's road worthiness and report any maintenance or mechanical issues.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to clients and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Full UK License (Cat C+E), CPC Card, Digi Card, and 12 months of Class 1 experience.
  • Driving Record: No more than 9 points on your license.
Benefits
  • Competitive Hourly Rate: £18.88 per hour.
  • Night Premium: £19.91 per hour for night shifts (20:00-05:00).
  • Weekend Premium: £24.90 per hour for Saturday shifts and £27.31 per hour for Sunday shifts.
  • Overtime: 1.25x overtime rate after 42.5 weekly hours worked.
