About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to join our team at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for optimizing the effectiveness of service delivery and the day-to-day operation of our Hanslope Park site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply governance to service delivery and lead on hard services
  • Line-manage responsibilities for soft services
  • Ensure compliance with financial accountability, public sector expenditure, Health and Safety policies and operational obligations
  • Achieve continuous performance improvements and build positive relationships with customers and service providers
  • Support delivery of a project portfolio to prioritize investment, monitor quality of delivery with service providers against agreed KPIs, and maintain operational, financial and Health and Safety governance

Requirements

  • Good understanding of budgetary allocation, spend and financial reporting including revenue (RDEL) vs capital (CDEL)
  • Practical knowledge of statutory compliance requirements in relation to facilities management and UK legislation
  • Well-developed experience of operating an estate and maintaining and working in a secure environment
  • Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety regulatory requirements as they apply to the built environment and an operational estate
  • British citizenship at the time of application and ability to attain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance
