A leading financial markets firm is driving automation within their non-cloud/on-premise infrastructure and is seeking a senior individual with extensive experience in automated infrastructure and networks, particularly in low latency trading and quant-driven compute environments.

This role presents an ideal opportunity for professionals from investment banks, hedge funds, or trading houses to contribute significantly to establishing a cutting-edge automated on-premise infrastructure, while ensuring alignment with existing cloud-based platforms.

Key Qualifications:

  1. 15+ years' experience within financial markets infrastructure and systems engineering
  2. Deep expertise in automated infrastructure and software-defined networking
  3. Solid understanding of Kubernetes, Ansible, Docker, Python, and cloud infrastructure
  4. Design, build, and deployment experience for highly complex infrastructure solutions
  5. Strong grasp of DevOps/SRE principles including CI/CD (preferably Git-based)
  6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  7. Minimum degree in a technical, relevant subject from a top university

This position offers a competitive daily rate and is based in a major financial hub. It is initially for six months but part of a multi-year project.
