Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Service Assistant to carry out routine mechanical maintenance of Rolling Stock. The successful candidate will work with a focus on mechanical maintenance and component changes, ensuring the safe and reliable running of the fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work from written instruction (VMI) and mechanical engineering drawings to complete tasks
- Replace mechanical components to correspond to engineering drawings
- Perform routine fleet checks to ensure safe operation
- Conduct oil changes and other maintenance tasks
Requirements:
- Ability to complete manual work and work shifts
- Mechanical understanding or background
- Ability to work within a team and follow strict work orders
- Ability to work to follow HSE guidelines

Qualifications: No formal qualification is required, but NVQ 2 or above would be preferred.
