Job Summary

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our team. As a Geo-Environmental Engineer, you will play a crucial role in working on housebuilder-related projects, overseeing ground investigation works, and providing consultancy advice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct desk studies to identify potential environmental hazards
  • Lead site investigations to gather data on soil and groundwater conditions
  • Interpret chemical and geotechnical data to inform project decisions
  • Supervise site works to ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
  • Develop conceptual site models and contamination risk assessments to inform project planning
  • Design and implement site remediation strategies to mitigate environmental risks
  • Prepare technical and interpretative reports to communicate findings to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients, contractors, and other consultants
  • Proficiency in IT systems and software to manage data and reports
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve project goals
  • Relevant degree in geology, environmental science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Geo-Environmental Consultancy
  • Drive and ambition to learn and grow with the company
  • Full UK driving licence to travel to project sites
