Department Overview
The Group Finance division delivers a consolidated service to the entire organization across all locations and divisions. Key teams include Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Accounting, Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Master Data Management.
Position Summary
The role involves overseeing the complete process of converting contracts into revenue, managing a portfolio of clients, associated agreements, budgets, financial records, and billing, while serving as the primary contact for client revenue operational inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will undertake the following duties:
- Maintain comprehensive client records, including contracts, budgets, master data, billing information, and contact details.
- Collaborate with New Business, Commercial Finance, and Client Relationship Leads on new contracts, renewals, and statements of work, providing guidance and making informed recommendations. Ensure that documentation and fee schedules are standardized, clear, and accurate for billing purposes.
- Assist clients with cost estimates, budgetary queries, and other financial and billing-related inquiries as needed.
- Prepare, process, and issue client invoices by gathering and utilizing relevant data, fee information, standard templates, and validation methods in accordance with contracts.
- Review client disbursement statements quarterly, verifying chargeability against contracts and highlighting any discrepancies.
- Ensure timely processing and issuance of invoices, documenting and escalating any issues or delays as necessary.
- Request purchase orders from clients and monitor invoices accordingly.
- Keep Trackers updated to ensure real-time data availability.
- Conduct secondary validation checks for invoices processed by team members in Workflow.
- Provide coverage for team members as needed, including involvement with the Process Improvement Team.
- Coordinate with the Offshore Order to Cash Team where applicable in routine billing processes.
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience in financial processing, including foundational accounting knowledge.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Familiarity with large ERP systems is desirable but not mandatory.
- Meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
- Adept at meeting SLAs and deadlines effectively.
- Confident and motivated in managing performance and achieving goals.
Mobility Requirements
Domestic travel within the UK may be required occasionally.
