The successful candidate will assist the Repairs and Maintenance Manager in providing, planning, and coordinating in-house staff and external contractors to manage the organisation's statutory, regulatory, and compliance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Compliance and Risk Management: Assist in ensuring the organisation's compliance with statutory obligations and regulatory undertakings, including electrical safety, fire safety systems, and mechanical services.
  2. Staff Supervision: Support the R&M manager in supervising staff and sub-contractors to maximise productivity, performance, and quality.
  3. Risk Assessment and Management: Carry out surveys of the organisation's risks in relation to electrical compliance and ensure effective plans are in place for the management and reduction of any identified risks.
  4. Service and Inspection Processes: Support in ensuring that all relevant service, testing, and inspection processes are carried out correctly, and that remedial/follow-on works are undertaken on a risk basis.

Requirements:

  1. Holds 18th Edition IET wiring Regulations BS7671.
  2. Trained to NVQ Level 3 with an electrical discipline qualification.
  3. City & Guilds 2391 Inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations or equivalent.
  4. Hold a full UK driving licence.
