Senior Accountant

Reed Practice is working with a top 50 practice that has been established for over 70 years. Due to business expansion, several acquisitions, customer demand, and accelerated growth, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their office in Burton on Trent. This opportunity will allow you to enhance your career with a firm that is innovative, forward-thinking, and offers continued support and career development.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead client relationships, advising clients, and building relationships across various sectors.
- Proactively deal with client queries and requests in relation to HMRC, PAYE, and VAT.
- Support the planning of jobs for yourself and trainees while providing them with adequate training.
- Efficiently prepare statutory accounts, management accounts, corporation tax computations, and unincorporated accounts to a good standard ready for review by the senior team.
- Oversee a small number of clients, including managing workflow, preparation, and meeting deadlines, while maintaining existing client relationships.
- Support junior members of the team and enhance their development.
- Hold an ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Have reputable experience working for an accountancy practice.
- Be confident in experience with Cloud accounting software packages, XERO, Sage, and Excel.
- Be a confident and articulate communicator.
- Be dedicated to delivering a quality service to clients.
- Have a full UK driving license is preferred as you will commute to clients' sites occasionally.
