Token Metrics Inc. is seeking a seasoned professional to fill the position of Head of Investment Research and Strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading investment transaction-related efforts, sourcing and leading blockchain investments, and developing financial models to support our investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Investment Research and Analysis: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the blockchain and cryptocurrency markets, including market trends, player dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Financial Modeling: Create and maintain complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, including VC financing transactions, restructurings, valuation analyses, and liquidity events.
- Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including customer and management references, industry research, and competitive landscape analyses.
- Investment Memoranda and Presentations: Craft compelling investment memoranda and presentation materials to communicate our investment thesis to the partnership and other stakeholders.
- Portfolio Management: Work closely with portfolio companies to enhance operations and performance, report on portfolio company performance, and support them on ad hoc projects.
- Process Development: Develop and implement processes and infrastructures to ensure the long-term scalability of our investment process.
- Network Development: Leverage your existing network of relationships to source a growing number of compelling investment opportunities.
- Staying Up-to-Date: Remain current on all blockchain and cryptocurrency news and developments.
- Investing Experience: Extensive investing experience in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space.
- Education and Background: CFA, MBA, or higher from a top business school, along with a strong network of corporate and VC leaders.
- Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead the strategic alliance and M&A process for opportunities focused on technology spaces that align with our corporate clients' focus.
- Financial Modeling and Analysis: Expert-level knowledge of startup financial corporate and deal modeling, as well as quantitative analysis.
- Communication and Leadership: Strong ability to think strategically, direct others in solving complex business problems under pressure, and communicate complex ideas effectively to executive decision-makers.
- Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, recruit, retain, and mentor high-performing teams of Venture Partners and Principals.
