Job Title: Water Treatment Engineer

Join SMS Environmental, a leading water hygiene service provider, as a Water Treatment Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the public is protected from infectious diseases that can be carried through water systems.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Treatment Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing pre-planned maintenance of water hygiene works for clients across our field-based role, operating across South Yorkshire & Derbyshire. This will involve delivering a variety of water hygiene works, including cleaning and disinfecting showers, checking and cleaning water tanks and systems, delivering TMV checks and maintenance, and checking and disinfecting calorifiers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver water hygiene works to clients across our field-based role
  • Clean and disinfect showers, water tanks, and systems
  • Conduct TMV checks and maintenance
  • Check and disinfect calorifiers
  • Complete all work on in-house software using an iPad
Requirements:
  • Previous water hygiene experience in a legionella controlled focused role
  • Prior experience flushing, temperature checking, servicing TMV's, shower descaling, and conducting water tank cleaning
  • Previous experience using iPad technology
  • Full UK Driving Licence (You will be provided with a company van)
Desirable:
  • Qualified in City & Guilds Disinfection or similar recognised course
  • Experience working in vulnerable customer sites
  • Experience servicing Calorifiers
