East Hanningfield, United Kingdom Northumbrian Water Full time

Overview of the Position

Are you dedicated to environmental stewardship? We are thrilled to present an opportunity to become part of our Maintenance division as a Regional Operations Maintenance Leader. In this role, you will provide exceptional leadership to a substantial team comprising 35 Technicians, 4 Technical Planners, and 4 Team Managers, all engaged in delivering Maintenance services to both our internal and external clientele.

The Regional Operations Maintenance Leader will spearhead enhancements in critical areas such as safety, regulatory compliance, personnel management, service quality, financial performance, and ongoing improvement initiatives.

This position requires collaboration across various sectors of the organization, balancing the demands of numerous internal clients and stakeholders. You will serve as a senior representative and the primary contact for your designated area regarding all escalations, representing the department during incidents and events.

By fostering robust and positive relationships, the successful candidate will leverage their network across operations, capital projects, engineering, safety, health and environment (SHE), planning and scheduling, business continuity management, reliability engineering, and supply chain management to achieve outstanding outcomes.

With a mindset geared towards continuous improvement, and in close partnership with peers, you will be responsible for delivering enhancements to performance metrics, operational systems, methodologies, and overall functional maturity.

Candidate Profile

You will inspire and engage the teams under your leadership, presenting yourself with confidence and clarity.

As a highly influential team member, you will effectively communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, adeptly managing the needs of diverse stakeholders.

Possessing exceptional organizational and time management capabilities, you will navigate multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your adaptability and responsiveness will enable you to swiftly identify and address emerging challenges.

Technically proficient, you will hold a Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in a relevant technical field and should either possess or be pursuing professional registration at either IEng or CEng level.

You will bring extensive experience and a profound understanding of the complexities and requirements of busy maintenance or process operations departments across a large-scale and geographically diverse asset portfolio. Additionally, you should have comprehensive knowledge of the statutory and regulatory frameworks affecting the department.

This position is classified as safety or security critical, and as a condition of a formal employment offer, you will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol screening prior to or within four weeks of your start date.

Candidates and agency workers who do not pass a pre-employment urine drug test will have their samples analyzed by the Company-designated laboratory as standard procedure. Failing a pre-employment drug or alcohol test may result in the revocation of the job offer.
